Sovereign Centros has announced that fan-favourite chicken wing restaurant, Wingstop, is set to open its next West Midlands restaurant later this year, at Merry Hill.

The award-winning Wingstop will occupy a 2,650 sq ft unit on Merry Hill’s upper mall, serving their signature wings and diversifying the line-up of dining options as part of the destination’s emerging leisure quarter. This is formed around the recently launched Hollywood Bowl, creating a family-friendly hub for eating and entertainment.

With room for 70 diners, Wingstop Merry Hill will serve their namesake classic wing selection, alongside a variety of boneless wings, tenders, and chicken burgers, as well as sides including seasoned fries and freshly made dips. The unique flavour profiles cover 10 distinct seasonings to suit any taste, from the sweet and tangy Hawaiian to blazing hot Atomic.

Alistair Winning, Asset Manager at Sovereign Centros, commented: “Wingstop has international renown, so it makes for an ideal addition to our culinary line-up at Merry Hill. Alongside the successful opening of wagamama earlier this year and Hollywood Bowl more recently, the upcoming arrival of Wingstop is evidence of the continued growth we’re seeing at Merry Hill, particularly for our new leisure quarter. We look forward to seeing Wingstop open later this year, adding an extra layer of choice to an already incredibly diverse collection of brands here.”

Tom Grogan, Co-Founder & Director of Wingstop UK, added: “Launching our latest Wingstop location at Merry Hill represents not only our commitment to expanding Wingstop nationwide but also our dedication to becoming a staple in the West Midlands. Having already been warmly embraced in Birmingham, we’re thrilled to bring our unique flavours and experience to even more fans in the region. Joining the vibrant community of F&B retailers within the destination is a prospect we’re eagerly looking forward to.”

JLL and Time Retail Partners represent Merry Hill. Brasier Freeth acted for Wingstop UK.
