Lush invest in their London portfolio with a new shop in Covent Garden and are celebrating by giving out free Lush gifts for their first 100 customers

On Friday 3rd November at 10:00 am, fresh handmade cosmetic brand Lush will open a new store in Covent Garden. It will initially open as an exclusive festive pop-up store with a retail space of 255 sqm and in Spring 2024 an expansion of an additional 176 sqm will follow to include Lush’s transformative Lush Spa.

“We’re thrilled to be returning to the historic market and now vibrant retail hub of Covent Garden. In keeping with the market’s heritage when flowers, fruits, vegetables, roots and herbs would have been sold, we’ll bring our local, handmade, products made from fresh ingredients. Our new store, set in a fantastic listed building with entrances from both Long Acre and Floral Street, will give our customers the unique shopping experience that they want and deserve.

We’re excited to accommodate our Lush Spa concept within this space and look forward to providing an oasis of calm within central London where our customers can slow down to speed up. Our thanks to Picton, the Landlord, who we are grateful to have entered into partnership with, as well as all agents and solicitors involved in the process,” said Ellen Peters, Lush UK&I Property Director.

On the opening day, the first 100 paying customers will receive a free Lush gift* and visitors are invited to make their own Lush product between 1pm – 4pm for free! The products being made – that are usually made by hand in the Lush factories in Poole, Dorset – are Groovy Fairy Bath Bomb and Mr Pumpkin Face Mask.*

Customers will also be introduced to Lush’s latest tech invention on November 3rd, the Lush Bath Bot. The new product is a first for the cosmetic brand, elevating the bathing and wellbeing experience. Lush Bath Bot is a beautiful piece of design, identical in size and shape with Lush’s iconic bath bomb and features a distinctive domed convex speaker for 180-degree sound and full-spectrum multidirectional lights that fill your bath and bathroom with a radiant light show. The Lush Bath Bot is available to pre-order now.

“Covent Garden never misses the opportunity to put on a show. The stage is set, and we cannot wait to welcome all our visitors for their moment in the spotlight. Join us on the 3rd of November for the Christmas season as a preview of what is to come in Spring 2024. You can expect memorable and meaningful shopping experiences filled with luxurious product demonstrations and guidance from our incredible team, who are ready to bring some of the theatre to your day,” said Sophie Watson, Lush Covent Garden Shop Manager.

The new store will be opening in time for Christmas for shoppers to get their hands on their favourite festive items, including the best-selling Snow Fairy collection in a dedicated pink section in the store. In the 2022 festive period, Lush sold on average one Snow Fairy product every 5 seconds in the UK.

With bespoke consultations on offer and an opportunity for customers to build their own holiday gift, they can enjoy a unique retail experience, whether they’re looking for a gift for a loved one or treating themselves with stocking up their cosmetic essentials. The Lush Covent Garden retail experience highlights Lush’s iconic invention from the 1980s, the  bath bomb, as well as a section with an array of ethical gifts and Knot Wraps.
