Yorkshire’s premier outlet destination, Junction 32, has announced its new Saltrock store, set to open its doors on Saturday 20th July. This marks the first West Yorkshire location for the brand.

As the UK sees a rise in popularity of surfing so has surf wear fashion, which has been reflected in the economic impact on the retail industry, generating millions in revenue annually. Junction 32’s new 1,900 sq ft store will serve as a hub for surf enthusiasts, beachgoers, and outdoor adventurers, offering an extensive selection of surf-inspired apparel and accessories for men, women and children.

Building on the centre’s recent sportswear store opening of Sports Direct and Mountain Warehouse’s expansion, Saltrock’s arrival highlights the centre’s strategic direction in continuing to enhance the brand line-up to cater to current fashion trends and consumer demand for wider sports apparel.

Focusing on watersports, hiking and skateboarding, the new store is well positioned to serve the region’s active, surfing and outdoor sports community. Its strategic location ensures high foot traffic, making it an ideal spot for introducing Saltrock’s unique offerings.

Rachel Scott, Head of Leasing at Global Mutual, said: “Welcoming Saltrock is a really important moment for us – we watch shifts in consumer trends carefully and have seen the rise of surfing, cold water swimming, van life and festival-going. Saltrock speaks directly to this movement, and we really see a place for this vibrant brand at Junction 32.”

The offering will vary from signature hoodies and surf heritage t-shirts to durable outerwear and beach accessories, all crafted with Saltrock’s commitment to surf-inspired designs, comfort, and affordability.

Louise Rees, Head of Retail at Saltrock, commented: “This location is perfect for us to connect with new customers and engage with the outdoor sporting community here and beyond. We look forward to being a part of the J32 family and bringing the spirit of Saltrock to Yorkshire.”
