atria Watford has now opened its doors to Rock Up, the indoor climbing and zip wire attraction, in the centre’s atrium space.

The brand-new attraction, which is the first of its kind to open up in a shopping centre, is joined by a 2,000 sq ft extension, adding more space for birthday parties and celebrations.  The high ropes course features a unique viewing point over the centre, allowing those taking part to enjoy never seen before views, whilst reaching new heights at the shopping destination.

Having first opened at the centre in 2018, Rock Up’s new course joins 27 other fun climbing walls, towering over eight metres, with multiple routes to the peak. Rock Up also has two large soft play areas for children aged 0-2 and 3-7 years old, as well as a café serving fresh food and drinks.

atria Watford spans 1.4 million sq ft and is home to hundreds of retail brands– from small independents through to household names.

Aaran Eade, Managing Director Rock Up UK, comments: “We are delighted to open this incredibly exciting new venture for our visitors. We are continuously looking at ways we can expand our offering and atria Watford is the perfect place to help us achieve this.”

Simon Plumb, Centre Director at atria Watford, comments: “Rock Up is a firm favourite for families and we are delighted to see the new attraction open. A visit to atria is no longer simply about the shopping – it’s about the ‘day out’. We are looking forward to Rock Up adding to our already strong leisure offering and driving footfall for the remainder of summer and into peak season.”
