Victoria Leeds, owned and operated by Redical, is ending the year on a high following its strongest ever footfall figures at Victoria Gate and two new store openings across the destination.

Celebrating what is expected to be the most successful year for footfall in its eight-year history, Victoria Gate is up 15 percent compared to the centre’s previously busiest footfall year of 2019. An additional 850,000 people have been through the centre’s doors in 2024, with Victoria Gate on target to achieve a million more visitors than 2019, by the end of the year.

Bolstering this stellar performance at the premium retail destination, is the opening of two new stores from iconic British leather bag brand, Cambridge Satchel, and Nordic-inspired home décor retailer, Northhome.

  • Signifying a regional debut, Cambridge Satchel has opened its third UK boutique in the historic Victoria Quarter. The 881 sq ft store, located at 3-5 County Arcade, features a range of women’s and men’s collections, including their iconic satchels, handbags, backpacks, and briefcases. Known for its philosophy of ‘British style reimagined,’ the store also offers an exclusive in-store personalisation service.
  • Building on the success of its initial pop-up and subsequent debut site at the destination, Northhome, the independent home décor store, has also relocated and upsized within Victoria Leeds. Trading across four floors and more than doubling its store floor to 4,230 sq ft, Northhome offers an expanded range of Scandinavian-style furniture, ceramics, lighting, kitchenware and skincare, with exclusive collections, as well as a new gourmet food hall and basement bar. Located in Victoria Quarter’s County Arcade this latest opening marks Northhome’s third upsize at Victoria Leeds within four years.

Rachel Bradburn, Leasing Director at Victoria Leeds, commented: “2024 is revealing itself to be a standout year for us, welcoming a number of incredible new brands across the centre, working with existing brands to facilitate growth opportunities and seeing footfall at Victoria Gate reach new heights. The latest openings of Cambridge Satchel and Northhome reflect these accomplishments, and I look forward sharing what is in store for Victoria Leeds in 2025!”

Joining these recent openings at Victoria Leeds is Boodles’ newly launched entertainment room, known as The Rose Garden Suite. Reaffirming its commitment to the luxury retail destination, the iconic British family-owned jeweller has invested to increase its trading space by more than double, increasing from 1,200 sq ft to 2,700 sq ft.
