DTZ Investors has announced the opening of Spider Box, a cutting-edge social entertainment venue at Manchester’s renowned leisure and entertainment destination, Printworks. The launch of the 8,000 sq ft venue marks Spider Box’s UK debut, bringing a fresh wave of innovation and experiential entertainment to the rapidly evolving leisure market.

Spider Box expands Printworks’ offerings with a blend of day-to-night activities, creating a dynamic draw for diverse audiences including families, students, corporate groups and nightlife enthusiasts. Guests can expect a multi-sensory experience with attractions such as racing simulators, immersive music quizzes, live music, karaoke, and a performance area that will showcase talent from across the Northwest.

In addition to entertainment, Spider Box’s food and beverage concept is designed to elevate the visitor experience. The street food-inspired menu features tempura, seafood, grilled dishes, and an array of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Both the leisure and hospitality offer have been designed to complement Printworks’ existing tenant line-up, bringing something different to a destination with an already unmatched collection of socialising and entertainment-led brands.

Ben Haller, Director at DTZ Investors, said: “The quality of customer offer is at the heart of everything we do as landlord.  We continually seek partnerships which engage and excite visitors with Spider Box an exciting addition to already enviable entertainment offer found at Printworks. They will give visitors high-energy, interactive experiences that perfectly align with our forward-thinking approach in leisure which reinforces our commitment to keep pace with market trends and consumer demands.”

With Printworks shortlisted for three prestigious categories at the upcoming Revo 2024 Awards – Technology & Innovation, Best Repurposing & Placemaking Project, and Best Asset Management Initiative – the opening of Spider Box further cements the venue’s place at the forefront of the UK leisure industry.

Rob Hetherington, CEO of Spider Entertainment, added: “Manchester is a fantastic city, one that really understands and feeds off a strong evening to late-night economy. When we made the decision to launch this new concept in Manchester, Printworks stood out for its history, appeal, point of difference, and collection of like-minded leisure brands. Quality social experiences is what we do best, and with Spider Box now open, we can really showcase our expertise in immersive entertainment to an engaged and knowledgeable audience.”
