Sook, the proptech innovator reimagining how retail space is used, has announced its latest partnership with Landsec, one of the leading real estate companies in the UK. The partnership will allow brands to easily hire Landsec’s Platform and Platform+ spaces, enabling them to create unforgettable, immersive retail experiences for their customers.
Sook and Landsec will work together to provide brands with a comprehensive solution for short-term retail activations in two of Landsec’s prime shopping centre destinations: Trinity Leeds and Bluewater Kent. Sook will provide the platform for brands to book space, manage their campaigns, and track results. Landsec will provide the physical space through their existing Platform and Platform+ products. The prime retail spaces will be available for brands to hire for short-term activations, experiential events, and living advertisements, without the traditional barriers associated with traditional retail space.
The partnership is a sign of the growing demand for short-term retail space. As consumers increasingly shop online, e-commerce brands are looking for new ways to reach them in physical spaces. Short-term retail space offers a flexible and affordable way for brands to test new concepts, reach new audiences, and drive additional footfall to their stores.
Landsec launched Platform and Platform+ last year, new retail and hospitality products designed to make physical space more accessible to smaller retailers, independent businesses, digital natives, and established flagship brands alike. Leveraging the Platform package for the Trinity Leeds and Bluewater Kent spaces, Sook is pleased to support and provide serviced short-term, fully furnished, plug and play brand activations as part of the partnership.
Nik Porter, Head of Retail Brand Account Management at Landsec, shared: “We are pleased to be partnering with Sook to offer our Platform spaces to their market-leading network of brands. Our Platform spaces offer brands a lower barrier to entry to engage with their customers in prime retail destinations. Sook’s collaborative and flexible approach has allowed us to partner with them to meet our specific objectives of driving activation and incubating emerging brands into our portfolio.”
“We’re excited to partner with Landsec, a forward-thinking real estate owner who is committed to innovating and adapting to the changing retail landscape,” said Tom Price, Head of Site Acquisition at Sook. “Together, we can offer brands a unique opportunity to reach consumers in a way that is both engaging and memorable. The future of brand engagement is all about creating experiences that go beyond just a product or service. Consumers are increasingly looking for brands that offer them something more, something that makes them feel connected to the brand and its values. Retailers who are able to create these types of experiences will be the ones who remain hyper relevant in the years to come.”
