Trafford Centre is thrilled to announce that local independent brand Blanchflower will open a new café focusing on coffee and baked goods, next February in a 400 sq ft location.

Blanchflower Coffee and Bakery’s arrival at Trafford Centre is part of a wider initiative in which the centre is championing unique and distinctive local businesses, all in a bid to celebrate the cultural dynamism that the city boasts. The area in which Blanchflower is located, once referred to as ‘Chinatown’, will be a vibrant and visually stunning dining destination that champions homegrown Mancunian brands.

Founded by Phil and Claire Howells, Blanchflower is a family-business with sites in Sale and Altrincham will open its third location at Trafford Centre in the Upper Orient.

Blanchflower has its own bakery, located just around the corner in Sale, where they produce their own bread, cakes and pastries. From cruffins to Bakewell tarts, and focaccias to homemade granola, diners can enjoy a mouthwatering selection of seasonal items made from locally sourced ingredients, made by hand by a small team of bakers and pastry chefs. Visitors will also be able to enjoy fresh soups and sandwiches.

With Blanchflower summarised by their ethos ‘Everything Made In House’, Trafford Centre is thrilled to be championing local producers that are truly independent at their core.
