South Kensington Estates is extending its dining portfolio with the addition of multi-award-winning Antipodean food and coffee culture brand Daisy Green Collection to its Exhibition Road line-up.

‘Glamarama’ Green mixes inspiration from Australia’s glamorous Tamarama beach in Sydney with fashion and design from the nearby Victoria & Albert Museum. The site promises fabulous style and tongue in cheek humour through a series of bespoke art commissions by exceptional artists including Rose Blake and Collagism, alongside statement prints from Iconic Images.

The 1,600 sq ft restaurant located at 10-12 Exhibition Road is due to open in early August with an extensive heated outdoor terrace (40 covers) and a secret downstairs William Morris inspired Green Room, featuring over 25 portraits of fashion icons by renowned illustrator Rose Blake. In addition, a vintage vinyl record player and the Collection’s huge vinyl collection for laid back listening. It will be located at the junction with Thurloe Place, opposite Lina Stores, less than five minutes’ walk from South Kensington Underground, the Natural History Museum and the V&A.

With menus inspired by founder Prue Freeman’s childhood in Australia, the brand combines simple fresh Mediterranean ingredients with pops of Asian flavours and textures and a focus on freshness, quality and simplicity. Daisy Green Collection is known for its award winning Aussie Brunch (World’s Best Brunch by Tripadvisor) and exceptional cocktails (Hot Dinners’ Cocktail of the Year 2023)

This latest outlet is a return to Exhibition Road for the founder in style – 10 years ago Prue could be found selling ice cream from her heritage ice cream van opposite the entrance to the V&A for the 2012 London Olympics. Now the group includes cafes, restaurants, secret underground gardens, canal boats and shipping containers – each one designed individually for its local audience and with art at the heart. Prue Freeman, Founder of Daisy Green Collection said:

“Glamarama promises to be glamorous, alluring and fun. With the V&A on our doorstep, this beautiful corner site celebrates fashion icons through the ages. From Grace Jones to Margot Robbie it’s one of our biggest art curations to date. From our famous Aussie brunch to whole watermelon margaritas on the terrace, we just can’t wait to join the South Kensington community”.

Richard Blake, Property Director, South Kensington Estates, said: “Exhibition Road’s dining area is a destination for both the local community as well as those visiting the city, and we take care with each new choice as our mix of names and cuisines evolves. Daisy Green’s energy and outlook matches our ethos of design, fashion and art-driven brands. This, and its focus on sourcing, community and fresh everyday food will make it a welcome addition to the Exhibition Road Cultural Quarter.

Davis Coffer Lyons advised the landlord and is appointed to bring further new tenants to the area.
